Heavenly Bodies

Heavenly Bodies

Hey everyone! My favourite event of the year just happened THE MET GALA! The red carpet is bursting with creativity and it's so exciting waiting in anticipation to see what your favourite celebrity is wearing. This years theme was "Heavenly Bodies:Fashion and the Catholic Imagination", which has defiantly been my favourite theme yet. So here is a list of my favourite looks from the carpet!

Rosie Huntington Whiteley

Rosie Huntington Whiteley was wearing Ralph Lauren, and she went down the more 'angelic' route with her halo. And I absolutely loved it. Everything from the plunge neckline to the cape was just so stunning. The clean and glow make up really completes the look.

Katy Perry

Another person who went down the 'angelic' route was Katy Perry. I was waiting to see who would show up to the carpet wearing wings, and I'm so glad it was Katy because she looks so amazing! Her Versace wings and golden outfit was simply beautiful.

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra looked so amazing in her Ralph Lauren gown. Every little detail down to the rosary beads in her hands is so well thought out. She fits the theme perfectly, unlike some people... ahem*Jaden Smith*.

Gigi Hadid

I can't get over how wonderful Gigi Hadid's Versace dress is! What I get from this dress is a stained glass, angel wing design, It goes perfectly with the whole 'Catholic Imagination' theme. She looks so elegant and beautiful. It's my favourite red carpet look she's ever worn.

Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande delivered the Sistine Chapel to the red carpet. Her Vera Wang gown is just so soft and feminine, and really corresponded with the theme. I loved the sweetheart neckline, and the overall style and shape of the bodice. Along with that I loved the way the fabric falls and drapes over itself in the bottom part of the dress. This adds a delicate touch. I was really surprised that this was Ariana's very first Met Gala, she already seems like a pro! (My blog post on Ariana: click here ).

Jasmine Sanders

This was the first look that caught my eye on the red carpet. Her H&M dress was already gorgeous on it's own, but the roses in her hair really put it over the top. She really does look heavenly! Although I don't particularly like her shoes and necklace, the rest of her outfit is so amazing I can over see the minuet flaws.

Kate Bosworth

Kate  definitely had the word 'bride' in mind while choosing this Oscar de la Renta dress. I love the pearl trim on the vail, and the golden specks on the dress. If the dress was a tiny bit longer in the front and hit the ground it would be perfect!

Singer Solรกna looked celestial is her dusty rose Versace gown and Star halo headpiece by Chrishabana. My favourite part of this dress is the colour. It compliments her skin so perfectly, and really makes her pop. Personally I dislike her makeup but it doesn't take away from the overall look.

Blake Lively

Blake Lively never fails to look effortlessly striking on every red carpet she attends. She's wearing an enchanting gown by Versace. The long trail is absolutely perfect!

Kendall Jenner

Although I didn't like Kendall's outfit, her glowy makeup, sleek hair and diamond earrings did look heavenly! She looked absolutely stunning!

Amanda Seyfried

Amanda Seyfried looked so youthful and graceful at the Met Ball! Her voluminous hair and glittery eyes really screamed Heavenly Bodies.

Ariana Grande

Just like her outfit, Ariana's hair and makeup was flawless! The super sharp eyeliner provides a perfect contrast to her already gentle look!

Kim Kardashian

I loved Kim's dramatic, sultry smokey eye and tight ponytail, which is quite different to her usually soft and bronzey eye look.

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka's makeup suits her overall look perfectly. Out of all of the 'beauty' looks I think this is the most regal! While most went for the more glowy and fresh beauty look she did something a  bit more bold! Which I think was a smart move.

Gigi Hadid

I love the pink and red undertones in Gigi's makeup. It's very complimentary to her skin tone, eyes and hair colour. This is my favourite makeup look Gigi has ever done! Her hair is also so fab might I add!
